Assistance with e-notifications

E-notifications are official communications from the Administration addressed to citizens, companies and entities, with full legal guarantees.

After carrying out a procedure, the Generalitat can communicate with you by means of an e-notification.

When a notification is available, you will be notified by text message or email.

Email alert

If you receive the alert by email, you will be able to see:

  • the name of the body that issued the notification.
  • the identity document associated with it.
  • the mechanism for access (digital certificate, one-time password).
  • the last three digits of the NIF.
  • the ID of the notification.

Notifications are always available in the private citizen or company area. In addition, if you are an individual who is not obliged to deal electronically with the public administrations, if you have chosen to be notified by post, you will also receive the notification at your home address. Remember to always keep your address details up to date, as this is where the letter will be sent to you.

Once you have been alerted that an e-notification is available, you can choose how to access it.

Who receives the alert

  • A natural person: a person with a personal identity document (DNI, NIE, etc.).
  • A legal person: a person with a Tax ID Code (CIF).

Ways to access the notification

  • From the email alert: if you open the email alert received, a direct link to access the notification appears by clicking on the option “Access the notification”.
  • From Canal Empresa, choose the Private Area menu option and access the notifications module. Once you have entered, you will be able to access a digital certificate.

Mechanisms you can use to open the notification

  • The email alert you receive will tell you how to access it.
  • One-time password:
    • Access with the identity document stated in the email alert.
    • It can only be opened via the link in the email.
    • You can access and view the specific notification, which will have a low security level.
  • Digital certificate:
    • Access with the identity document that appears in the email alert and digital certificate.
    • You can access and view all your notifications.

Change of personal details: email or mobile phone

If you have a procedure in progress and you want to report a change in your personal details, check whether there is an option to report a change of details on the information page of the procedure. If this is not the case, you can send a request through the Single General Application addressed to the body responsible for the procedure.

You have 10 calendar days, including weekends and public holidays, to access the notification (5 days in the case of public procurement). You will see that it is in ‘Deposited’ status in the GVA notification module. Its status can also be indicated as:

  • Accepted: if you have accessed the notification and read its contents.
  • Rejected: you have not accessed it within 10 days and you are considered to have been notified. However, you will have access to view the notification for the next two years. The procedure and deadlines will continue to run their course.

Problems accessing notifications

You can access the notifications by accessing the Generalitat Valenciana's Communications System: https://www.comunicaciones.gva.es/comunicaciones/login.html

To be able to view the notifications correctly, check that your browser does not have pop-up blocking activated by performing the following steps:

  1. Directly access the communications system
  2. Check the browser settings allow pop-ups/new windows
  3. Access with another browser that does not block pop-ups

Please note that, in order to access the notification, you must do so using the certificate corresponding to the recipient of the notification, i.e. if the notification was issued to a company, you must access it using a company certificate issued for that Tax ID Code; if the notification was issued to an individual, you must access it using the personal certificate issued for that ID card.

If you have accessed the notification, please note the following points:

  • If the notification has expired: you must be able to access the documents on the screen itself. As to how to proceed in relation to receiving or accepting the notification, you should contact the body that issued the notification.
  • If, when you access the notification, the document is empty or there are no resolution documents in the notification: you must contact the body that generated the notification to have it reviewed, re-notified or to offer a way to send it to you.

Here is a URL detailing how to contact the Citizen's Advice Service, in case you do not know how to get in touch directly with the Conselleria https://www.gva.es/es/web/atencio_ciutadania/inicio/atencion_ciudadano/012

Check the settings of the browser you are using as it may be blocking the new window; alternatively try other browsers. In the case of notifications, as an alternative, you should know that they are also accessible from the Generalitat Valenciana's Communications System at the following address: https://www.comunicaciones.gva.es/comunicaciones/login.html

The Generalitat's Notifications Module is integrated with the Blockchain register to improve the traceability and security of the actions related to notifications. More detailed information on this report is available here
